Our Story

The Tint Shop story began in 1986 when our founder Greg Haugen got the bug to start a business in Charlotte, N.C. Ever since then, Greg and his team have always been fixated on perfecting the tinting experience. But, after a while, Greg saw a real need in the Myrtle Beach and Murrell’s Inlet area for professional window film installation. “I wanted to provide Horry and Georgetown counties a quality alternative,” and he was itching to do something more entrepreneurial and meaningful. So after relocating to Murrell’s Inlet in 2001, we set out to enhance the quality of life for the Grand Strand.
We count among our happy customers many trusted names in the region.
